Clair's Emporium Ltd. opened on the 3rd Jan 2023 combining Webbs Hardware + The Shoe Must Go On Ltd. After 17 years of trading in the town, it was time to move into bigger premises in Albion St, Rugeley — the site of the old AVH Hardware shop.
After 18 months of extensive refurbishment, and to our amazement, found out that it was once the original police station of Rugeley 1843-1878 and still has the original police cells underneath. Photos around the shop tell the story.
